Sue and I have never rented a storage unit of our own. You can never have enough storage space though. If we have it built we will fill it. It goes back to what BillH was referring to. The more you have the more space you need to store it. Of course hoarders have more stuff than they have space.

I have a job I dread today. Moving stuff. Have to clear a 10x15 storage unit and store it in it's new location. Do any of you have storage units? My sister has a couple and my FIL has more than a few. They store megatons of stuff that should have been sorted, sold or disposed of long ago. Hundreds of dollars out the door every month just to keep it out of sight, out of mind. If people realized they could get all new stuff and more for the money they're paying to store that junk I don't think they'd be so quick to keep it. I told my stepson when he was paying $75 a month for one of those cubes they put on your property that it was a waste of money. I told him he could have bought a brand new shed he would have owned for the money he gave away on a cube rental. Oh well. Have to get my picayune coonass to work. Later, gurus and gurettes.

You take a rooted orchid and secure it with pantyhose to a tree till the new roots bind. Some people hang orchids in an orchid basket with moss protecting the roots and helps to retain moisture. Orchids don't need a lot of water. Just a spritz every now and then

Oddly I found a number of 66's in the same price range. I wonder just how much of a bargain it is. Did I say it was a big block? I don't remember. Anyway, we could prolly still get it if we needed a 6th sportscar. (which we don't) The mid years look beautiful but handling ??? I have to admit I'd fit right in with all the other old guys driving them around.

Here are orchid pics from around the house. Some have flowered, some are flowering and some are getting ready to flower. We have had orchids of one type or another for almost the whole time Sue and I have been together. Low to no maintenance.

I guess that's why it takes so long to put a 67 together. It takes months and months ........ and months to find the right replacement parts. Then months, and months and months to prep the parts you already have. Then you have to remember where you stored the parts which have been in seclusion for months, and months ........ and years. If Matt gets one now, he just might have it done by the day he retires. Unless he can take over a project that somebody else already started .........

We have been planting orchids on the house property since we moved in. Currently we have about 50 clusters spread with more to come. We have at least 6 more that are ready to be located around the yard. A friend of ours, Robert Fuchs, travels the world participating in competition with new and established varieties that he grows and cultivates. We have been affiliated with Fairchild Tropical Gardens through The Native Plant Society, The Palm Society, The Flowering Tree Society and have had family memberships in the past. There are a couple of other organizations I'm forgetting. Thanks for the info, Andy.

The weather is ............ It's Florida, what can I say. I can handle the heat better than cold. 80's high, 70's low. There is that humidity thing though. Keeps your skin from drying up and cracking. A few things on the agenda. Round trip to Key Largo and a couple of stops to make. My get up and go has got up and went, again. It's all in the mind. Alaska is coming up fast. 7 weeks to go. Soon I'll start packing up some of my cool/cold weather clothing. 40's and 50's around Alaska in June. Brrrr.

Have you ever seen some of the pig pens people live in? Dirty, stink like ass, bugs crawling around, kids dirty and smelly. And they act like that is normal. It's not normal unless your a Troglodyte. Lazy mother@(%ers piss me off. Do we owe lazy uneducated buffoons anything other than training? This is the right way and what you're doing is the wrong way. Education? Going to school does not mean you learn something. And it's not the teachers fault. It may be the administrators fault but not the teachers. Kids need to learn something that will earn them a living. If a class in burger flipping, chicken frying or broom pushing is what is needed, so be it. That's another thing ........... NOBODY IS MAKING YOU WORK A LOW PAYING JOB. THAT'S YOUR DECISION. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Join the military and learn how to dodge bullets and keep a clean locker. Then when you get out you can take classes in the medical field. Become a dental assistant, a phlebotomist, (first you have to learn what a phlebotomist is) or something else. Save the low paying jobs for the illegal immigrants. They have to eat too. I have a few more things to touch on but I need a break. Union rules ..........

This should be the new standard for people that choose to live on the dole. Notice I said choose. Short term recovery is one thing but long term subsistence is quite another. Set the standard to 1930's living.

In napping news

A young seniors division, semi pro performance was turned in today by South Florida contender Tommy T-Bone. A solid 1 hour and 20 minute nap time is showing potential for greatness when the Summer Nap Nationals kick off in later June. When asked what he felt about the local competition T-Bone responded; "I'll let my pillow do the talking".

The 86* temp outside forced me inside. Too early in the year for this crap. Now that I'm inside I'm effectively doing nothing. A nap may well be in order.

Meanwhile back in Nevada ..........

So why does that rancher think he does not have to pay rent for ground his cattle graze that is owned by the Feds? The Govt. owns it and they get their money to maintain those acres from the rents they produce. The BLM rents ground all over the nation for use by private individuals.

Unless I am missing something the rancer needs to pay up.

His family has been using that land to graze cattle since the 1800's when there was no BLM.

In 1993, the BLM changed the law and wanted fees.

Do you know why???, The F'n environmentalists were worried that the cattle would endanger a desert tortious.

Yep to save a turtle that probably doesn't give a damn about the cows.

Same thing's happening in Ca. right now, farmers get no water to grow veggies to support their families, Why? Obama's worried about saving some fish.

So ........... Why doesn't he pay rent? Who's land is it? Did his family homestead it? How did the gubment get their mitts on it? Too many questions and I really don't give a rats ass about it anyway. What happens in Nevada stays in Nevada. (insert raspberry noise)
